Snowboards / D1 5'5 Series

D1 5'5 series
Our quiver-killing shortboard

This quiver-killer is the board you grab everyday, and it doesn’t matter if it’s pristine morning corduroy, sidehits with friends, intimidating icy steeps or bottomless pow, you’ll have the best board imaginable for the day. It defines the notion of versatility, delivering great performance in all snow conditions.
We call this our shortboard as it's snappy, fast & rides much shorter than its length would imply. You’ll have the maneuverability of a 156 yet enjoy both the carving stability and float in powder of a much longer board.
Compared to the rest of the line, the 5’5 hits the sweet spot combining the freestyle fun vibes of the 5’2 and the big line stability of the 6’+. If that wasn’t enough, for further customization, we have three different flexes available. Choose one according to your weight and riding style: the regular 5’5 for a more freestyle flex, the 5’5 + for a stiffer all mountain ride, and the ++ for our stiffest flex, that will please former hardbooters and snowboard x racers. Choose a tab below to read more about each flex:

    Thank you..fast..great

  2. SnowMan (verified owner) -

"A very centred (almost Twin) powder shape on piste? one of the first freeride boards to be controlled without the need for a transfer. (Rider specs: 172cm - 68kg - Advanced) "

  3. Hornbein (verified owner) -

This board is simply awesome! It's really a new sensation in powder, you finally float without having to push on the back like a madman... After a few turns, you get confidence, but yes it floats even in 50/50 balance, incredible! On the track, it's terrible, it accelerates and drops almost anyone. In peuf, nothing to say, it's GREAT! (Rider specs : 182cm - 68 kg - Expert)

  4. DimDim Bubu (verified owner) -

I've got to get up to speed and go, it's a huge carve. Very good sensations. It carves, it carves. ...Big favorite for this superb board (Rider specs : 177cm - 75 kg - Advanced)

  5. Cédric H. (verified owner) -

Putting your feet on this board will quickly convince you of its efficiency... We even enjoy tattooing the Frestyle... reminds you of your best sessions on the beachbreak of Hossegor (Rider specs : 175cm - 70 kg - Expert)

Let's talk technique...

Length

Better lift, without the sensation of length, this is the advantage of the Dupraz shape.
This 165 rides like a 154that's our commitment !

As you can see the length in contact with the snow is identical for these 2 boards. Clear advantage for the Dupraz, which gains in bearing surface, so useful in many conditions...

Profile and camber

Thanks to the famous Aquasmooth Rocker (from which the entire snowboard and ski industry was inspired), the spatula guarantees the absorption of the irregularities of the terrain and an almost instantaneous de-icing in powder snow.

Construction

Nothing beats a good and solid wood core combined with tri-axial fibreglass, rubber reinforcements above the edges, which ensure the glueing between the steel of the edges and the fibreglass. But they also serve as shock absorbers. The whole thing is assembled with a sole and thick edges to allow you to maintain your board for a long time!

D1 5'5″ X : This model integrates very high density braided carbon fibers on both sides of the core. These fibers cover the entire surface of the board.
