Our quiver-killing shortboard
This is the board you grab everyday, and it doesn’t matter if it’s pristine morning corduroy, sidehits with friends, intimidating icy steeps or bottomless pow, you’ll have the best board imaginable for the day. It defines the notion of versatility, delivering great performance in all snow conditions.
We call this our shortboard as it’s snappy, fast & rides much shorter than its length would imply. You’ll have the maneuverability of a 156 yet enjoy both the carving stability and float in powder of a much longer board.
Compared to the rest of the line, the 5’5 hits the sweet spot combining the freestyle fun vibes of the 5’2 and the big line stability of the 6’+. If that wasn’t enough, for further customization, we have three different flexes available. Choose one according to your weight and riding style: the regular 5’5 for a more freestyle flex, the 5’5 + for a stiffer all mountain ride, and the ++ for our stiffest flex, that will please former hardbooters and snowboard x racers. Snowboard Dupraz D1 5’5 STD
The 5’5 has a medium flex through the nose and waist for increased torsional flex (and for enjoying a few sneaky butters when no one is looking). Don’t worry though, the 5’5 keeps the firm tail of the 5’5+ to power out of carves and stomp those cliff drops. It’s the best of both worlds. A nice gateway board to the Dupraz universe for someone coming from a freestyle background.

As you can see, the length in contact with the snow is identical for these 2 boards. A clear advantage for the Dupraz, which gains the load-bearing surface that is so useful in so many conditions...
Profile and camber
Grâce au fameux Aquasmooth Rocker (dont toute l’industrie du snowboard et du ski s’est inspiré) la spatule vous garanti l’absorption des irrégularités du terrain et un déjaugeage en poudreuse quasi-instantané.
Construction
Rien ne vaut un bon et solide noyau bois combiné à de la fibre de verre tri-axiale, des renforts caoutchouc au dessus des carres, qui assurent le collage entre l’acier des carres et la fibre de verre. Mais qui servent aussi d’amortisseurs. Le tout assemblé avec une semelle et des carres épaisses pour vous permettre d’entretenir votre board et ce pour longtemps !
